The summer of 2003 was spent with my wife and 7 month old daughter. We were based in Chamonix France. I mostly worked for the Duchman Edward Bekker. I made 11 round trips making the summit 10 times with Dutch clients.

One of the most dangerous parts of the journey is on the way up to the hut at 3800m A dangerous coulior must be crossed then some very tricky scrambling leads to the perch.
